Southbend St 3 + daily clutch

Selling a stage 3 southbend clutch kit which i can no longer find in Marc's website. Seems to be a stage 3 which now has been replaced by a fully kevlar disc, wheras the one i have is feramic on one side (flywheel) and organic on the other(pressure plate side). Needs a single mass flywheel, 3b or 7A.

This kit comes with the southbend pressure plate with minimal wear and is missing a throw out bearing (easily found on eurocarparts for 20GBP).

The reason for sale was the recent replacement of the clutch with a full feramic stage 4 from southbend.

The kit on sale was used in my rs2 for little over a year and had smelled a couple of times. This is the reason i decided to replace it. However upon inspection, the 7A flywheel i was using did not have a level surface making the clutch disc only use half the flywheel!! Therefore the actual kit is near as new, and i could have kept it, as the organic face makes a very soft pedal and no juddering upon engage. Although the disc worked like this, there is not uneven wear on it. Also, i have never done 1st or 2nd gear pulls. While mapping the car on the road, i usually do 3d 4th and 5th gears starting after 2500rpm, so this disc hasnt been hardly pushed.

However since the new kit was installed im happy to sell this on, and Brian Tonks who inspected the kit said its as brand new!

This kit cost me around 500GBP from Marc (including shipping from the US, actual price around 450GBP)... and ofcourse customs when you order from the US always raises the price...

Kit is ideal for more than 650Nm of torque/500hp and allows for a stock pedal feel.

Price: 250GBP+shipping OR the kit is located in Mansfield @ Tonks garage. Feel free to inspect it up close if you are interested.

Must add that even though there was friction on only part of the flywheel, there is no uneven wear on the disc or the pressure plate.

I have the same clutch in my A4 1.8T. It has a great feel and seems far stronger than any of the twin plates I used to run in my old Evo!

      Enjoy the free bump.

      Paul.

I have an RS2 ADU engine and will be using an RR flywheel to mate to a WR gearbox. Would your clutch work with this set-up?

                  hmm i dont know...

I definitelly know that the 3b and 7A single mass flywheels work for this setup. If someone from the forum can confirm what you need, that would be ideal!

3b/7a flywheels won't mate with a wr gearbox. Only urq flywheels do (and possible the earlier 10v flywheels /na)

                          cheers!

now that i am using the full feramic faced, and with the possibility of probably not making too much torque than what the full feramic can offer, i feel that this one would have been better for me!!!

But i cannot keep both, one has to go, and i dont feel like getting the engine apart again to refit it!. So someone will definitely benefit from this clutch kit

7A/3B flywheel with Audi 200 clutch should fit the UrQ gearbox

I have an RR flywheel. This is the version III type engine of the UR Quattro. Basically it's the 3B engine, but for some reason the flywheel is different.

So far I know that this clutch will fit the RS2 engine as you have used it already and I know that the RR flywheel will fit the WR gearbox. Have I answered my own question here?

I think Brian Tonks is the best person to confirm this.
