    Mahle pistons with Goetze rings

For sale a set of 5 mahle pistons modified by pkm (original 1.8t pistons with new valve pockets), size 81.20mm for 81.26mm bore (1st step oversize). Used for almost 3 years now, no pitting no signs of wear, no marks!

New 81.26mm piston rings from Goetze, completely new and unused.

Reason for sale: Used 81.51mm pistons (mahle) so these are no longer of any use. Pistons are capable of handling up to 650 proven hp (according to pkm) on a dynoed S2. I ran up to 500hp without issues, and didnt have any issues. Small piston to bore clearance also means no oil consumption on cold starts as you get with forged aftermarket pistons sometimes.

New from pkm these cost 850euro(740GBP) for a complete set with rings. Goetze rings on their own cost 125euros

Price: 500GBP for the set + shipping

(note: only the pistons are on sale, not the rods!)

yes that's it, measure 90deg from the pin axis, 12mm from the base of the piston. To the .0005" please Vas

unfortunately i do not have the tools for that specific measurement.
Gross measurements with a simple ruler and some markings to provide some small equality shows that all pistons are equal on bottom and top side, and have similar differences of between 0.01-0.02mm (from top to bottom).

Their lateral coatings are barely affected from use, and they have no scratches, markings or scuffs.

compression ratio with stock metal gasket is 8.8:1 (from stock 9:1)

so slightly more timing and boost can be used !

however the difference is so small that even if you dont want to remap the car, it wont make a difference in driving or fueling.
