Why am I selling? As I use my other car for day-to-day travelling and due to family commitments I rarely get the chance to take the car out for fun so it gets used very infrequently. It seems a shame for a car like this to sit in on my drive doing nothing which is why I have reluctantly decided to sell her.
I bought the car privately in 1999 from another like-minded S2 enthusiast who had spent over £8000 upgrading the car to above RS2 performance (from 230 to 330bhp) in December 1996 at 72k miles. The car has remained unchanged since that time and has been the most reliable car that I have ever owned. The car has been maintained fastidiously by me and the previous owner at Audi main dealers and the Audi specialist Kim Collins at QST/Quattro sports. Everything that has been ever been reported or found as being faulty has been replaced. I have a fully documented service history and all the receipts and MOTs going back to 1996. The last service was completed only 100 miles ago, and it will have a new MOT this month as it runs out in 2 weeks.
I want to ensure that you are given all information that I know including any bad points as I do not want you to be disappointed with the car. I have taken a huge number of pictures of the car, including the interior, which can be seen by clicking on the link below (please note that there are 2 pages in the gallery):

The car has had 2 previous owners, the enthusiast owned the car for 3 years and before him a company in Gwent owned the car for 3 years from new. The car has now covered a total of 136K miles with the speedo showing 11,283 miles (it was replaced by Audi at 125K miles due to the dials peeling).
Mechanically and electrically the car is in absolutely excellent condition with everything working as it should. According to Kim Collins the first part of the engine upgrade took the car to 315bhp (same as an RS2) and we guess that the addition of the RS2 manifold will add another 15bhp and a 0-60 time of around 4.8 secs, but it has not been on a rolling road so I could not guarantee this. I have a 275bhp S2 coupe and this S2 avant is definitely much quicker and much more fun. The brief details of the upgrade performed by Kim Collins at QST (formerly Quattro Sports) are: MTM cpu, MTM hybrid turbo, RS2 exhaust manifold, K&N air-filter, front and rear RS2 anti-roll bars, 17†Porsche Cup alloys, Koni shocks and H&R springs, front Alcon racing calipers. A blaupunkt Radio/Cass head unit has been fitted with a 10-CD shuttle in the boot. The car has a Gemini enclosure remote alarm system and a secondary thatcham approved immobiliser. Please note that this car is the 6-speed version.
The current condition of pearlescent emerald green the bodywork and interior is very good. However, I have used this as my main car for many years so there are a few scratches and 2 very minor dents that DentDevil or similar will be able to easily remove. As you can see from the pictures the bonnet has the usual stone chips (one requires touch up) and the rear bumper has 2 small scratches caused by a pushchair. The wheels were refurbished a few years ago and are in very good condition and have good Pirelli P7000s – one of them has been kerbed since, but is not bad. The wheel centres are new. There are no rust spots or other damages that I can see, and I wash the car by hand regularly (never been through a carwash) so would notice any problems. The interior has the rare carbon-fibre inserts instead of wood and the full black leather is in very good condition (there is a wear mark on the side of the driver seat). The carpets and mats are in excellent condition except for slight left heel wear in the driver footwell. I am probably being over critical with the bad points, but I would rather you know everything and make up your own mind.
I'm asking for £6,500 ono and will be advertising in all the usual places at the weekend so let me know if you are genuinely interested soon.
