I forgot to add that these are 1.7 bar chips with good amounts of timing.
They've been sat on my shelf for the last year because I upgraded to a RS2 Hybrid turbo. This is good tune for a good condition stock RS2.

How does one go about having these fitted?
Do you have to take the car or just the ecu?

To run these chips properly, (AFAIK) you will need to:
A). Make sure your car is an RS2 or genuine RS2 spec.
RS2 Turbo, RS2 Injectors, IM, EM, Stock WG spring etc.
B). Make sure you have no boost leaks!
            C). Remove ECU
D). Remove the two chips from the ECU
E). Replace with the two MRC chips, note the labels!
F). Put your original chips back into the supplied case to keep safe.
G). Replace your ECU into car.
H). Go fill up with Tesco '99 and enjoy.

Assuming your car is RS2 spec and has no boost leaks it's just a 10 minute job to change the chips.

AFAIK you need to have an ECU that has chip socket fitted so you can swap chips.

Also a 3" exhaust would be best.

Yes, ECU with chip socket essential. Don't all S2's have that as standard?

3" exhaust would make the most out of the chips, but by no means essential!

3B's have socketed ECU's, ABY and ADU do not.
