    Breaking 2.5TDI 5CYL 140bhp silver a6 saloon

I have bought a silver a6 2.5tdi which has had a timing belt failure, it is automatic, everything worked before belt failure, anyway if anyone wants something before I scrap shell please say and I,ll post price, I only bought it to save parts, so they will be cheap. Will post pics when I get a chance.

Well the block would come in handy for someone for sure... Or are you keeping it for your own projects?

Thats a good question, I'm not sure yet, a lot of work and money a stroker though. I have always wanted to put one of these engines in a smaller car, but don't think I could be bothered with the work.

if its an auto it must be an AAT,uk never got any auto AELs although they are the same block anyway.

Its easy to tell, have a look on the timing belt cover and it will say the code.I have had a couple of a6s which have had the red i sticker put on or have been painted

I may be interested in the injector pump depending on how much you want for it

Will have a look thanks, send me an offer for pump, as I said not looking to make profit, or if you want to swap for some urs4/6 part/s would be happy with that as well.

Sorry spink its an ael just checked it today. To be honest I am actually pondering on fixing it, its got new brakes, front suspension, really tidy inside and I think its maybe a bit of a shame scrapping it as theres not much interest for parts. Don't suppose you've got an Ael cam?

ooooooh careful, blocks aren't the same, crank sensor in the ael is different hence the AAT being a better base for a stroker

that was the early version of AAT,the later ones in the a6 all have the crank sensor drilled into the block(certainly on all the ones i have come across and currently have at least)
