I'd be really careful, I've been charged extra for send things with doctored measurements, they do check, may not be often but they do. It could cause all sorts of hassle when something overseas, same as being untruthful about the value of an item to avoid customs charges, great till something goes missing or gets damaged then what do you do? You can't start a claim for more than the value you declared, really not worth the risk IMHO.

Parcelforce will take an S2 front bumper within the UK for less than 30 quid insured for 200 with the correct measurements.

Yes but when for example a bumper costs £220 to send to the states or £100 if you knock off a few cm here and there its got to be worth it. I have sent prob 5 or 6 very large items like that to the states and always used fedex. So far they never checked, it says no where on the lable or papers what size, weight or cost of shipping it has, only on the customs note and I don't think customs care when they clear it.

I hear what your saying and its obviously a risk. Fingers crossed..
