s2 6 speed linkage

Mate,do you know if all 6 speed gear linkages are the same from any 01E 6 speed boxes or if the 01E 5speed boxes can do the work ?

On the aby/adu they are same,S4/s6 are different but I heard someone say it is possible to make them work.5 spped are different again,I dare say it is possible to make a 5 speed one work somehow,anyone know?

i use UrS4 01E 5 speed linkage on my B5 S4 01E 6 speed trans....

so yes they work. but i swapped in the 01E trans into the racecar (Coupe Quattro not S2) and modified the tunnel to fit.
