CGR 6 Speed gearbox removed from my 1994 S2 Avant

Need it gone, £100

has a slight whine in first gear. Not noticeable if you just pull away and change straight into second, but if you're driving round a car park in 1st for instance, you will notice the noise. I will admit, I never checked the oil level or changed the oil, so maybe this would help

Never had any problems selecting gears, never jumped out of gear etc

You don't have much luck with these cars do you mate, what happened?

well I pulled the engine out because I wanted to a number of jobs on the car, (forged flywheel bolts, 034 track spec engine and gearbox mounts, notch out the chassis rail by the hotside so I don't have to have an engine mount spacer, change the gearbox for the S6 one I just bought, service the gear linkage, shot blast and repaint the subframe.... the list is endless)


Anyway, it wasn't until I had the engine out and on the stand that I realised how much end float the turbo had, and that it had just started kissing the compressor housing.

Thought i better get it looked at straight away before any real damage happens. Initially it was diagnosed as just needing a new thrust washer or something, but it turned out to need a reconditioned core

A friend of mine recently shipped a g'box from the UK to Estonia for much less than this however, I am currently waiting to hear back from him about the cost of postage.

In the mean time, you are all welcome to look for quotes yourselves and send me details of the company. I will not add on any money for packaging. My postcode is BH229JE, UK mainland. The pallet will need to be half size (approx 1000x600x500mm) and it weights 90KG.

now I contact few people which drive lorry all over the europe to my country. few of them don't drive to england. they will find out who from they firm driving to england and where.
in that case postage will free for me. I will contact you in every case.
if that could not be possible. than you will send gearbox in Slovenia to my friend.
