    Galletto 1260 ecu eprom read/writer

    Hi All,

I have some of the afore mentioned Galletto's for sale on good 'ol eBay. However, if anyone wants a cable (obd --> usb) I'll happly sell them to folks here for £14.00 delivered. I'll also include a large selection of 'tuning files' (they're normally sold on eBay for £30)

They're not a pro tool by any measure, but, if you're interested and want to get start getting your head around an ecu map or two, then you're good to go.

If PRJ or anyone else for that matter, i'm happy enough to send over a file or two for your perusal and comments.

    cheers,
    JT

I will give some facts. Without any opinion or agenda.

    1. These tools are clone tools, not originals. Selling them on here is like selling cloned VAG tools.
    2. None of those tunes on your cd is worth anything. Save your time and money, and don't flash your car with those. If the car even starts, it won't be good for it.
    3. Read chiptuners.org. You have the classic posts of "I bought galletto from eBay, and tried to flash a file, now my car won't start". This will cost 200 GBP or more to fix, if you can find someone who will fix it for you, also involves removing the ECU.
    4. No 20vt car ECU's can be flashed using these cables, because they don't support flashing. S4 2.7 have a free flashing solution through http://www.nefmoto.com.
    5. At the current exchange rate these cables cost 10.75 GBP on eBay, shipped.

    Now for my personal opinion:
I have one of these solely for flashing ME7 in boot mode. I would never use one of these to flash a car over OBD, there are much better tools. The interface is horrible, badly translated and clunky.

The way to learn to tune your car is not by buying a cloned flash tool off eBay and flashing some file you do not understand.

Yes, you could use this tool to read out the original file of your car to study it, but you can also find the original file of your car by just putting your ECU number in google, or searching chiptuners.org

Anyway, in my opinion those who need this, are not going to buy it on s2forum...

    P.S.
The ECU files can be found for free here:

Of course /please/ don't look at those files to learn "how to tune" and please don't flash them on your car... you have been warned.

      Thanks PRJ

Appreciate your somewhat frank comments. I acquired these cables during the purchase of some other components.

The very last thing I would want is for anyone on here to damage their vehicle.

      cheers,
      Jonathan
