Okay, so 4x108 and 5x112 are incompatible on the same hub. Could these RS2 hubs be drilled for 5x112 in between the 5x130 studs? Just curious. I would imagine the RS2 hubs are more valuable in original condition, and that they are more expensive than S2 hubs(?)

I was thinking about a 5 bolt conversion for my 4 bolt car, but I just realized that I could choose RS2 instead of S2 for the same trouble if there was a reason to do so.

Do S2 owners ever convert to RS2 hubs? Seems like unless you're building a replica RS2 it wouldn't be worth it. The wheel and brake selection issues that the 4 bolt cars have don't apply to the S2's, I would think.

if you want to convert from 4x108 to 5x112 the easyest way will be to make a spacer i have a friend that is making this for saab saab have 4x108 and it converts to 5x111,8.

I dont think its posible to drill newholes in the rs2hub.. if you are thinking of drilling then drill the original hub.. But first weld the holes and then drill.

That is interesting. I thought the 108 and 112 diameters would interfere. How thick is this adapter, it changes the offset, right? Do you know if it is hubcentric? There is a place here in the states that can make custom adapters, as long as the patterns don't interfere, which are hubcentric to the hub and to the wheel. I once inquired about some 5x112 to 5x130 adapters for my 200q20v.

i think the adapter is 20mm (i can chek it out) and the ofset changes and it fit hubcentric.

I think you rotate the pattern through 90 degrees and you have plenty of material then.

Yes, sometimes, but apparently not with 4x108 to 5x112. Here are some old posts on the subject. This is why I thought it was interesting that zlobo said they were available, unless I misunderstood.

"2) If you take a compass and a piece of paper and trace a 4x108 pattern
over a 5x112 pattern, you'll see that it is impossible to avoid conflict
between holes. I tried a variation on this, attempting to make an adaptor
from 4x108 to 5x130, the std porsche pattern, and while the holes don't
conflict literally, the stud heads would. You also have the problem with
offset, although since the Cq, 80, 90 is 37mm, and most porsches are 52, you
get the benefit of a 15mm thick adapter ring which is probably adequate."

Something else I found, not gospel, but stated with more confidence than my (lack of) BTDT.

"I'll be posting a new thread when the supplier is ready t0o roll again.
                          to recap.

any 4 lug and be converted to another 4 lug.
any 5 lug can be converted to another 5 lug

the only 4 to 5 possibility is

                          4x100 to 5x130 (porsche)
