new 7A head,ported and machined

7A cylinder head,like new,crack free,machined the main face to 0 so just ready to be bolted on, machined to mount in 20VT engines, standard valves,everything checked in the machine shop, and...ported/polished!!

very nice to a new project or as spare just in case.

Couple of questions

whats all the filings down the ports?
whats the dimples on the valves?

or are the dimples to remember which valve goes where?

maybe it needs to be cleaned ... because i told the guy that maybe i would put 0.5mm oversized new valves on it


about the valves i dont know, the head was done everything in Latvia, could be better to replace the valves for a new ones?

Punched valves will not create hot spots?
Guides were not changed?
That inside ports is metal from machining?

Face machined to 0 is about 12 eur.Inserting guides,reworking seats and valves is art that is payed.
Photo i looked was not clear and i taught it was alu oxidation

12€? in Spain if far far far more expensive¡ last time i sent my old 3B head to machine shop i paid IRC +400€ for sure... to get all done to be installed again.. was like 5 years ago.

Only facing,my price for regular customer is that less.The rest i do myself.Or if they will do will ask good money for it.As i sayd.Valves and guides are the most important part.Facing is done on a not complicated facing machine,with little effort for aligning it level before starting to face it.Reworking seats and valves is money if hand done,and money also if done with cnc machines.
