    If someone calls me a prat I will respond I'm the one who has been ripped off the IC looks like it's about 2 years old and the manifold who nows how old that is at a guess 4 years old with lots of work carried out on it

      I think emotions are running high due to the money involved.

      Please could I ask for calm from everyone.

      To the buyer, if you accept the offer of the seller to repair the items at his expense then I don't see there's much to add.

      To ALL reading this thread. INSURE YOUR ITEMS!!! Royal Mail covers £46, Interparcel £50. Anything more than this, make sure you cover it in the selling or shipping costs!

        Alex, that IC has been driven for 2000kms maybe?
        you bought a bargain!

        the manifold has ,more time, but except the broken injector mount works the same as a brand new one... and looks sexy!

        please, can you check for part number on the intake wheel please? i dont know if it is AUDI item os custom by dhalback which will have it´s own part number too

          No insurance YIKES!!

          All I can say is - it's a good job it wasn't lost in transit, that would have been a major loss which I don't think either party would have been happy to swallow.

          As stated Rocco's offered to fix the parts and pay for it.....I think that's more than fair! Some sellers may have said they'd take half the responsibility and paid half......others would have said just tough!

          It's just one of those things, I'm sure with the amount of selling Rocco does through the forum though he isn't trying a fast one!

          From Rocco's perspective he's probably more than lost any potential profit he could have made on these items by offering to pay for the damage, I think he'll have learned a lesson through this;
          • always insist the buyer pays for insurance, or
          • insist the buyer takes responsibility for the items during transit.

          That should've been made clear at the time of purchase.

                  These parts can be 10 years aloe and work perfectly. My Wagner inlet was Arons old inlet and has no problems whatsoever. So what looks like old doesnt mean its not working. You haven't been ripped off, you are banging your head on the wall for not asking for insurance and wanting to buy good stuff as cheap as possible. No insurance on couriers is a gable. So you learn everyday and sometimes its expensive. By the way, the IC is absolutely fine..you should see mine after a big rock hit it and still no issues years later. The IC will need a dahlback plastic replacement which shouldn't be more than 20-30£ I would have thought. All this talk for such amounts is meaningless I think.

                    old or dusty does not means is bad and not like brand new...

                      I don't understand why this needs to be discussed on a public forum? Why not pick up the phone and resolve it between yourselves like adults
