Milltek Centre section and Race Cat.

Hi all, this is my first sale thread on here, spurred on by the amount of Milltek sales ive seen recently.

First up is a centre box I had removed from my full Milltek setup.

Secondly, the Race CAT - this was removed by Charlie at ProSpeed exhausts and he said its a Milltek Race CAT, it also has the same stamps as the rest of the exhaust system. I removed this for no other reason than sound - performance wise I didnt notice a the slightest difference.

Both items have been dry stored since removal which was around two months ago.

Slightly off topic but a free bump. Charlie at pro-speed is a legend, wouldn't take my car anywhere else for exhaust stuff...

Hehe, Charlie really is a bit of a legend.

He isnt perfect tho, he is a real bad influence and has no regard for catalytic converters or the environment in general...

Free bump and O/T... how much louder was it with the center muffler gone?

Its a lot deeper on idle, and roughly 30% louder driving. Not as loud as I expected however I am still running a resonated Milltek rear silencer/back box.

The I5 20v is a quiet motor imo, my Corrado VR6 with identical set up was a banshee in comparison

The turbo takes all the sting out of the exhaust, I'd have thought a VR6 with a single silencer sound F'in loud.

It was and it also felt like I had lost a couple of horses due to the more relaxed power curve as a result of reduced back pressure. So i had the center silencer refitted and the car felt a lot pokier

I noticed something very similar with my G60, I'm adamant it goes better with the Cat now I've fitted a 2.5" Jetex system. I tried it with a decat pipe and it was unbearably loud and gutless down the bottom end, the Jetex system sounds great now I've put the Cat back on and it goes properly again.
