So this rear spoiler is reviled by most everyone here? This spoiler does not help with downforce at the rear of the vehicle? I will admit this does appeal to my love of the Superbird from the early '70s Also when I see this the BMW M3 Lightweight comes to mind.

I actually don't dislike it either, like you say it has a bit of history. I have a weird love for the late 80's and early 90's, ugly but lovely cars/tuning scene. MK2 Astra GTE, Sierra Cosworth etc etc, all a bit ugly but kinda beautiful!

Since this is geting more and more offtopic I have a question - has anyone ever wrote/discused about this spoilers function>form? Maybe some airtunnel photos? To me it seems that it might not look beautiful, but it should be functional - all the key parts are there : away from the car, closer to the roofline, angle of attack (atleast it seems so) is right.
