Very soon the hybrid I had built is going to be surplus to my requirements, for ease I've purchased a K24 7200 as I have some really nice software for my set up and that turbo.
AET built it 5 five years ago and I've covered around 15K miles with it fitted, it's still in as new condition.
It consists of,
Nothelle K26 exhaust turbine and shaft in a machined out K24 hotside housing (50 mm exit), brand new center section with 360 bearing mated to a genuine RS2 cold side back plate and compressor wheel with a K26 housing machined to suit.
It's a cracking little turbo but really needs a custom map or Vems to make the most of it safely. Though I can say I ran it on stock 3B software with RS2 injectors and an original 3B three bar fuel pressure regulator for quite a while and was very happy with how it went. I'm not saying this is in anyway a good or scientific approach or set up. I mainly fitted the RS2 injectors to checked they worked but she was also running a little lean with 3B injectors, the AFR's with RS2 items were much better so I left it like it for the best part of 10K miles as it ran really nicely. Really that should only be considered a temporary option, at least it's allows for some shake down time before a mapping session.
I have been running it with full RS2 software and it hit's 1.9 bar just fine, however I reckon I'm pushing my luck a little hence the K24 7200 purchase.
Pic's to follow very soon as it's coming off the car tomorrow.
Comes with AET paperwork.
