Hi Albert,

What kind of discs are those in the kit and what about experience of the stopping power of this kind of calipers compared to, let say 996 351 425 brembos?

Is there something negotiable in the price of this kit if I would buy one shipped to Finland? What kind of brake lines would you recommend?

I through my cars I have tested lot of brake disc brands (ATE, Zimmerman, TRW, DELPHI, FERODO, Brembo and found that ATE is the best disc if we are talking about street setup (non strict sport solution). The disc is a stock disc form Mercedes with 5x112 bolt pattern and center re-bored from 67 mm to 68 mm.

As for stopping power the important part is the size (area) of the pistons in the caliper. I 17ZR/ZL or 18ZR/ZL are new Brembo design very stiff (monoblock) and lot of solutions are used in motorsport also (ie. changing of the pad with out dismounting the caliper form the strut).

996 is old caliper that was designed in 1995 ? 17ZR/ZL or 18ZR/ZL are probably 5-7 years younger. That is a lot of time.

There something negotiable in the price of this kit if you like it I would ask for positive review. PM me.

I would recommend HEL brake lines. I can also supply them if needed.

I have similar setup in my daily car - Audi A4 B7 3.0Tdi Quattro.

Whats the difference between 17ZL/ZR and 18ZL/ZR?

17ZR/ZL are harder to find, fit max 345mm disc have a one bigger piston.

18ZR/ZL are up to 365 mm disc. Bit smaller one piston but it realy does not matter.

Albert is there anyway you could make a set of lightweight 2 piece rotors in 330mm for the front of my
urs6 and 300 or 312mm for the rear. I have BBK for front and rear but can't find anywhere that make nice rotors
with the right offset.
