I have measured the other seats as well and the spacing is the same on all the ones I've got.

Is the mark on the seat a burn (or rip) or might it be washed and removed?
Interested if they can be cleaned up.
Also interested if you have other grey colored recaros.

That is cloth wear as it has been used as the drivers seat.

I should have had a black/grey set by now but missed out on a great deal when I forgot to check the advertisements for 1 day

What is involved in fitting these? Are they on suitable subframes? Will they go in my s4 or is something else needed?

There are no frames included and I don't have frames for a C4 either. So it would require making a frame to suit your car. I do have universal Recaro sliding rails though that bolt to the seats and need to be fixed in the car with a frame that is easy to make. Then the sliding rail sits between the frame and the seat.
