seen a 2.5 stroker engine on gumtree not mine,i just typed in audi rs2 and it came up,not cheap or it might be dont know anything about them but looks good

Must be from the new M178 twin turbo C63 that has an 83mm bore. But it also has a 10.5:1 CR, which looking at the shallow dish on those pistons, makes me wonder what CR this engine has??

It's ******** I've been trying get up to see/buy it for over. Week never gave me a number or address just an email...then when I kept on emailing asking for his number and address these where his e-mails

You're welcome to come during week , I have the engine into a mate's garage here in town .. so anytime during week from 9 to 5-6 pm if fine by me . We'll also get help to load it .
Or I can strap everything onto a pallet and send it by courier . What's your plan with the engine ?

So I said ok then heard nothing for 5 days so emailed him again to ask if he knows when he is back and again for a address to his friends garage to go to view/buy the engine this was his reply ...

the temporary job has turned permanent .. so I moved here , at least until summer .
I'm being asked to arrange delivery of the engine to Denmark , talked to my mom to get there with the key , when the courier will go to take it away .. seams the best solution for the moment , as I don't want to put you on the road for nothing ..

Non of that makes any sense...mediating a deal for his company...but then it's a temporary job that's turned permanent!!? So any way just thought I'd let you guys know....decide what you will but I've told him to bo@#ocks �� I'll stick to getting one built it seems haha unless anyone genuine comes up with a good engine for sale on here!!

I heard about this years ago along with people using "TTRS pistons milled down etc"
The whole reason for valve cut outs are exactly that....VALVE CUT OUTS i.e. specific to the angle the valve protrudes into the cylinder head.

Couple of issues I see are:
1. OEM main bolts but ARP head studs?
2. Use of other pistons not intended for the application
3. Oil pump looks dingy (could have at least aqua blasted it)
and so on and so forth...

for 4500 GBP , you can build a better set up.

he is building mine as we speak. The only component that takes forever is the pistons. I had to have custom set made by Mahle because no one else wanted. They were $1650 USD/set. Aside from that , there is JE pistons which are on average $200USD/piston.
I went with the Mahle's for the M142 alloy vs 2618 alloy.
