These look suspiciously like RS2 recaros, although it says they are for a Golf Mk2, could someone maybe confirm this or deny it.

The recaros are the standard recaro seat. The seat brackets for the MK1, Mk2 ( and Audi S2) are the same dimensions but the Mk 3 subframes are 40-50mm narrower ( I know as I have to modify a pair)Originally posted by groofosp
The subframe of the G60 Mk2 was electrically height adjustable, I don't know about the GTI tho'. The seat bases direct from recaro are not electric I believe.

so what your saying is the rear bench would not fit, but the fronts would fit with the right recaro subframe for the S2?

The rears no way but the fronts should go straight in as the Mk2 and S2 front subframes are meant to be the same. The side changes if you have a 3b or a aby I believe as the seat locater handle, the adjuster thingy ( can't think of the right name for it!) is on a different side of the centr of the seat.Originally posted by s2avant95Mso what your saying is the rear bench would not fit, but the fronts would fit with the right recaro subframe for the S2?
You could get MJ to recover the rear seats, I have a spare set of foams etc coming up.

Those seats look really nice and would just slot straight into the Golf Oh and nly about 15 mins from my house. MUST RESIST!!!!
