Hi Paul

I thought about the Mitsi VR4 V6 2.5 twin turbo before I got my S2, what are they like?

Hi Jim,

I really like this car. It is a bit bigger that the S2, more room for the kids. It is quite a bit faster than the chipped S2, I have upped the boost to 13psi any more and I get a fuel cut. I would say I have just over 300bhp and it really can shift. Fuel consumption is a joke 160miles to £40. I have the Tiptronic gearbox, I never thought an auto could be so much fun. I can probably sort the fuel out as I have bought an E-manage so I can change the fuel and timing, They run really rich must be something to do with the heat etc in Japan. My Evo was the same until I got the Power Engineering ecu fitted.

Yeah still on Judy. I am sick of the Medic stuff so have spent the last year completing the Petroleum Processing Technology course through Cogent in Portlethen Aberdeen. I do my final exam this month. The OIMs have been very good letting me go out side and train in their time. I also go out at night with the Ops. So if you are ever looking fo a trainee Operator

How is your S2 going are you still driving to work every trip?

Although I like the S2 I’m dead jealous of your VR4.

The S2 is still going ok, only thing is it has an annoying intermittent whine coming from inside the gearbox (well it had to be somewhere expensive). It would happen when I need to fix the gearbox in my track car and I’ve just bought a sequential transaxle for my RS200 replica (Ebay should be banned for offshore workers).

Been taking the train up over the winter, but should be taking it up from next trip onwards.

We’ve had two guys started after doing the same course as you and they have done OK, just need that initial break to get your first job, hopefully the Judy will take you on.

I may be coming out to the Judy for a day or two in the summer.

Yeah these kind of cars are just a money pit. Good fun though. It must be said though you have far too much money and cars

I dont think the VR4 is so refined as the S2, a bit more rattles and squeaks from the interior. It is quite a bit stiffer in the suspention and I have just put on 18's. Overall though I am very happy with it.

Its good to know that companies do employ peolple after the course, as you say just need a break.
