Completely standard apart from sports air filter...... what about that exhaust??

Could have been repaired after an accident I guess. If the paintwork is totally spotless that would cry respray to me. No car from 1995 can be totally free from stone chips unless it's been repainted.

I've asked a few questions of him, I'll let you all know if I get a reply.

Nope. Mine was bog standard when I got it and it had 5x112

It is a bit odd about the headlamps though. Mine had the same lamps but then mine was a '93 before they introduced elipsoids.

i dont think there is much reason to doubt its an S2.....all looks ok to me, wonder about the need to change the exhaust after only 53k though, unless its just the back box - it should last double that. All you need to do is request a pic of the dash and the engine bay

I think the lamps are a bit odd being non projector but it could just be a part bin special (or not so special) or it had a front end shunt and has been rebuilt. If its got documentation to support it then its a steal currently IMO...NCTS btw

Got a reply to the question about headlights:

'the car had a light front end 5 years ago i took the car as a dept'

Not quite sure what a dept is - deposit maybe?

Didn't answer my question about the exhaust tho
