I think it can be mounted in place of a normal one if the motor is also used.

Anybody got a simple way of adding full closure to the standard alarm? (I've got the VAGparts remote upgrade) - I'm used to the feature on my 'cheapo' L reg Passat VR6 and keep leaving my sunroof open on my 'upmarket' N reg Audi!
