    Vidar Skothiem oil cooler

Hand made oil cooler from the said man, this has been used developed a crack repaired professionally pressure tested to 100 psi and is now for sale as I had another new one which I fitted while getting this one repaired.

The pictures are from when I fitted it so doesn't look all shiny and new anymore but still a great improvement on the original, it fits in the original place but I made my own bracket so not sure how fiddly it will be using original fixings sure it will need a bit of time spent fitting it

No idea at a guess it has 90 degree bends in the ally on the side tanks and I think this might have caused stress, it is now welded on the side that cracked so hopefully it won't repeat this issue on the other side I pressure tested it to 100psi and everything seemed fine but to be honest who knows

It could well be vibrations in that section depending how well it was supported as the oil cooler bracket from audi is quite up to the job. Sadly its not the first time i've heard of his stuff cracking.

I don't think either way this will hang around long as the oil coolers quite often need swapping out due to the age of them and how they get clogged up with stuff from our lovely roads. Makes sense to get something like this as a replacement.
