ripped off from ebay seller allrad-zentrale.gramann

Cross post from quattro world S4S6 forum.

Ripped off by German ebay seller allrad-zentrale.gramann

Privately requested purchase of 551B ECU (1994 URS4 Auto), item was not listed on ebay so did paypal transaction of $410 Euro. Photo of item was immaculate (see QW thread) so I paid a high price of $410 Euro. I received a 551D model which is the wrong model, ans is also damaged due to ****** chip job and burnt traces on the PCB.

Disputed item with paypal. The seller still claims I was sent 551B unit and tested on working car prior to sale which is ********.

    See thread for photos

That is sickening to say the least and the soldering is diabolical. I hope you are able to get your cash back via paypal.

12/05/2017 16:01 GMT+12:00 - Buyer: Hello,I requested a Motronic ECU Bosch 4A0 907 551 B from you (1994 Audi S4, 5 Cylinder). You sent me a photo of 4A0 907 551 B and told me I would receive 4A0 907 551 B.You shipped me a 4A0 907 551 D (1995 Audi S6, 5 Cylinder) which I cannot use as this model has an engine immobilizer. The ECU does not match the photo you sent me. The ECU you sent me is also modified (chipped) with significant solder damage to the PCB including burnt and repaired traces. It was obvious that the ECU had been opened before due to scratches on the cover tabs and three broken cover tabs, this was obvious. This can only mean one of two things, the ECU is chipped, or the ECU is damaged and a repair has been attempted. In either case you have sent me the wrong item, and a damaged item.I have sent you the photos of the received ECU in the other email.I request a refund.Mathew

Indeed thanks for your support. I would like the money back but I think slim chance so I would like to warm others of the Audi community.

          eBay ripped off

Sorry to hear about that but how did you send the payment through PP? Was it as a purchase or gift to a friend? You should try to contact PP if they can help and providing those email as proof. I have learned my lesson to use credit card instead of your cash from your bank account because of scum bags like this.

              be careful with that.

you will send it back. but he never will sign (take) the delivery.
it will be held at the local post office for a few weeks and then disposed
he keeps your money, and wins the pp claim because it was never returned to him.

Indeed but I don't see any other way except to send it back. I have emailed the company website about my complaint as the original seller (an email address which does not belong to the domain of the company) has not responded to my email. Will see what happens..

Also, presumably he will say you didn't return the item he originally sent to you. Since he already says he sent the one in the ad and you say he didn't....

I would suggest to contact paypal to send them the proof of shipping as a reference and to the seller to see how it turns out. Either way it doesn't change the fact that you may gotten ripped off but in the hope that the seller keeps his word. If someone decided to scam then there's no point why he responded. The most you can lose is the shipping for the return.

Sent item back, refunded by paypal.

FYI, must use tracked signature courier and keep your shipping documents / receipts as paypal will request you scan them (3 days before the dispute closing date..)
