Could you point me in the direction of some specs for these blocks? I'm currently looking for a 3b block to bore out to 82.5mm so I can rebuild a 7a to put back in my 20v coupe Quattro. What bore are the blocks you have? I need a 220mm deck height to work with my crank and pistons.

There is lots about building strokers on motor geeks but that all seems to be about capacity and rev limit concerns but not that I could find,, the start point of the bare block....

    Thanks in advance

Just get some 155mm rods and skim your pistons a touch to suit, I have a 7A piston here, will take a look see what you need to do
Will be close to a 2.6

          That sounds suspiciously easy!
Is the AAT an 82.5mm bore? I'd probably look to fit new rings into the diesal block and as I'm finding out, excess wear on an 82.5mm block is difficult
To deal with if you need to go oversize.

2.6L sounds like it would have some grunt for sure!

Damn it, I've read your post just as I'm trying to wind down and go to sleep and now all I can think about is torque! 🤓
