Recently spent £2000 on engine rebuild, only to find fuel leak from the return pipe on the injector rail
Does anyone know where i can get one from as im gagging to drive it again and my dealer said there isnt one in europe!
My local 'tin pot' garage has repaired it with a rubber hose for now but when the next meet comes up, ill have to point it out to one of you guys as they have got rid of the part with the part number on it! Description wise it comes off the injector rail bulkhead end, goes under the inlet manifold where it connects to a union. 3B engines! Cheers for the replys
At least i can have some fun again!

We have your hose at the garage ready and waiting for you!!! Don't know if this "tin pot" mechanic can be arsed to fit it though!!!! :nana:
Maybe I should have left your head bolts loose!
Catch you soon Beetie
A6 Avant Tdi 110 because as the fuel prices keep going up I am so happy to be getting 649.8 miles to a tank of diesel!! (£50)
That hose would be the feed hose on yours, its number 034 133 715P. Same hose for both the MC and 1B engines. Its 24.52 Uk, about $42 USD
If you cannot get one or its way more money, drop me a line, I'll send you one.
:-)

Hi Martyn,
Wow, thanks for the information. I guess I need to look to the real world instead of the internet for my solutions. I have two 5kt (MC) parts cars in my backyard! I haven't even checked them for that piece yet!
That would be cool if I only had to buy the fuel rail one new. Actually, that one is a return, so I'm wondering if I might be able to get away with something like the "repair" that I already have there. After all, the high pressure is between the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator, right? I mean, the only thing the return needs to do is dump it back to the tank, and there's no resistance to do that. Nothing like 3 bars over manifold pressure, anyway!
Thanks!

No problem Ken! :-) its the same hose on the 2B engine, but I don't think the US got the 2B engine?? nope, just checked that on the USA parts program.
Actually, Ken, what lump have you got in yours? I'm wondering if the two are the same now! The fuel filter in the picture is an MC engine, but MC's didn't have a fuel rail??
Got me wondering now... feed me some more info on your 200. She's probably a 1990 year? which engine though? let me double check this for you

Hi Martyn,
My 1991 200q20v (3B) actually has TWO sections of originally crimped braided hose that have been replaced by rubber fuel hose and hose clamps. One is at the fuel filter like the picture I posted, which is a 3B car just like mine (see the valve cover? or did you mean some other picture?).
The other replaced flexible section is the one that this thread originally started about, apparently the fuel rail return on the motor. Just like the earlier post, it goes under the intake manifold to the left side of the block.
I know the MC blocks are stamped "1B" on the back of them, where they meet the transmission. I don't know about a "2B" motor, but if there's a 1B and a 3B, then... So, what's a 2B anyway? That's a new one on me.
After I posted the last time, I realized that I don't recall ever seeing that flexible section of fuel rail at the filter. I think the older cars might have a solid metal line at that location. Perhaps the flexible section was introduced later as they realized it needed to flex there? Then again maybe the older (1986 and 1987) cars did have a flexible section.
Does that help at all?
Thanks much!
Ken
