no those pigeon legs are just for rolling it around waiting for azev a's 10x17 .yeh you are right about those winter wheels they did look really funny . it is a normally aspirated coupe quattro i didnt want to cut a ur quattro because it is pointless cutting a expensive car when all you are using is roof and floor pan anyway , and it is not cut and shut by dialynx its done by the same chap who restored the rally car that hannu mikkola drove in the rally ,and also in the goodwood speed festival you will see it on the audi channel( john hanlon car).been done properly you have to see it to appreciate the effort the chap put in to it all the welds are proper .

Cool - that was a coup finding the original works man for that bodywork job...

Good luck completing the job. You were right to hack a normal CQ but I still think the shorty looks weird with the Coupe windscreen. Still the main thing it is will go like stink and stick to the road like glue when you get the obligatory 10J rims attached

i could have gone all the way with upright screen and all that .but what about the dash board the lefthand drive the right rear wings the small wheels ? i know people saying it has to be upright screen but its not only that its everything else as well and you will always be able to tell the real one from the replica .the upright screen was only done because the of the glare rally drivers were complaining . but i know what you mean like everybody else i too like the upright screen . but we cant have everything in life . the manifold is polished now when i get around to it i'll take some more pics.
