    My AAN Coupe... finally !

Finally ! She is in my driveway!! I've got to drive it for the first time with it's freshly transplanted AAN engine last friday, what a great feeling !

I've got to learn how to drive it though, since it's so different than my old ex-student car !!

So you've seen some pics already of the intake, but here are the latest pictures I've got for now.

The little surprise from my boyfriend up front...

Ok I know tires are backwards on this one but we've put them on only to tease us up and have an idea of the look it would have in 2 months when the snow and potholes are all gonna be gone

    And the new bumper...

For now, all I need is some RS2 headlights in order to get rid of my B3 stock ones which doesn't fit so good with the B4 hood !! There are still some little things to fix in order to get it perfect, but nothing major.

I'll try to get more pics tonight in my driveway !

Oh and a huuuuuuuuge thanks to RingLord and his Rombotis Tuning team for all that great work.. I love it !

    OMG!! that looked so lovely!
Those brock b1 (?) wheels fitted perfectly on that car. The colour fits the car very well.
Indeed get some DE ellipsiods and xenon kit then the car gets 10points out of 10 from me!
No pics from the rear btw?

    cheers,

The HID kit is already waiting at home
And yep, those are Brock B1 and I have to say they look really awesome on the car, I was not sure of the result but I definitively love it !

I'm going to take somes pics of the rear when I come home from work.. the only ones I've got for now is with primer on.. not that sexy!

OttawaCoupe, I'm glad you didn't bought that car finally It was a lot of work (lot of parts missing) but definitively worth it !! The sound of the engine is what I like the most about it. Looking forward to a new exhaust that will enhance it more ! But I'm not in a hurry (my budget either)... one thing at a time!

Neat . Don't forget heat shielding, because otherwise it will cost you several ponies!

Very nice! Some questions about the car.....

1/ Was it half way completed before you bought it?
2/ It's obvious the bumper is not OEM Audi. How do you intend to mount the bumper to the car if you are planning too dump the DOT rebar? The pix of the bumper you show do not appear to have the Euro mounting attahmeents fabbed into it.
3/ Was the wiring already installed in the car for the transplant?
4/ It appears the battery has been moved. Under the rear seat or in the trunk on the right side?
5/ Planning on installing an S2 Euro Bumper? Or keeping the DOT rear bumper?

R33fgirl... I was worried about moving to Canada and missing my ABY S2 but it looks like I will be ok...I have seen "Ringlords" coupe at it is awesome!!....I have also mailed them for a price on a conversion to a coupe, I know it's a bit checky, but what sort of figure would you expect to pay for such a conversion??....I liked the 2.7tt coupe they did!!......

If your in no desperate hurry you can buy some ellipsoids from this side of the water and I can put them in with my 'stuff' and ship it out for nothing....your call....

                  Cheers

1- It was a lot less than halfway.. the engine was in the bay but no intake, no wiring.. almost nothing done finally haha

2- The bumper is a replica and was a nightmare to get on. We made a custom mount with metal brackets on top and on side of the bumper. We need to adjust them because now the side of the bumper doesn't fit perfectly.

3- The wiring was not done at all, in fact, the wiring harness was missing

4- We thought that we would be able to fit the battery in front but my mechanic finally decided to mount it in the trunk (pics to come)

5- No need for another bumper. I love the one I've got and I don't want any rear bumper or side skirts. We've painted the black trim all around and it actually looks real good.

So you're moving to Montreal or somewhere else ? And when is that ? The option of ''shipping it out for nothing'' sounds real good to me, as long as it's not in one year ! haha

As for the conversion, I would have told you to bring your car over here but since it's a 1995, it may be more complicated (15 years old cars and up can easily be imported to Canada from now on). As for the conversion price, it depends on a lot of things, especially the shape of the car. But one thing's for sure, you can't go wrong with Rombotis Tuning! I'm sure that they'll be able to fit your needs.
