    My drag car project

    I started a new project.

I planed to build a car, only for drag race.I know its will takes long time and lot of work and money.
I hope its can be race ready for next seasson. The setup its flexibile, i want approx. 750hp. maybe more.
My work dont let me do my hobby, only on wintertime. Now i collecting the parts
and the building start at december.
here is the list for the parts, what i have now:

    dta pro8 ecu
    H profile conrods (144mm)
    wiseco pistons (8.0comp)
    200x120x40 oil cooler
    750x300x120 ic
    tubullar em
    s1 style dual plenum im
    200hp nitrous
    rc 750cc injectors
    10l race fuel tank
    inconel valves
    titanium retainers
    mechanic head
    262deg 11,8mm camshaft
    2 bosch motorsport fuel pump

the car will have a very agressive diet to 1000kg race ready.
i want 100mm downpipe and exhaust system, with separeted wg pipe.
i like that noise so much.
i have couple potential turbo option.
    1. garrett gt42r with 1.05 ar(good,but expensive)
    2. kkk k27/29 13 hotside (can be small)
    3. kkk k27/29/31 17 hotside(can be too big)

all opinion welcome, good or bad too.
i need lot of help and knowledge to finish this car.

      HI Project sounds great

For Turbo.....you would be VERY happy if you went with something like a PT 74 GTQ or GTS.......

Precision turbo's are superb and highly used in bmw fi applications. For soem reason they are not really used in many AUdis. Probably because of the flange on a KKK.

However PT are T3, T4 or even T6 now I think (or soon to have a T6 in their range like the Monstrous Garrett GT 40-85 's that 1500 whp Supras use (T6 flange!!)

They are based on Garrett shell...then precision work their own magic.

They are also about 50% the price of the Garrett!!!
A PT*** is what I will be using on my project.......

Why not build a drag car to the older typ85 chassis? It's lighter!

to start with the steering wheel is on the wrong side

Also your signature could be bigger

apart from that, I have nothing constructive to add to this subject.

It seems to me, it would be best to go without the intercooler and use a Alcohol/water injection system. By the time the intercooler had any effect on the cooling the intake air, you would done with the quarter mile.
Or maybe a charge system using chilled water. You would cut down on the lag created by the drop in pressure going through the intercooler.

They can have my car when they pry my cold dead fingers from the steering wheel.
