    ANN manifold fitting

    Hey guys,

Started the strip down and come across a few small probs.

1 - the power steering pump

2 - the water manifold touches the bottom of the ANN manifold so it doesn't quite fit properly.

How to get round this please.

Also does anyone have any fairly detailed pics of Rad positioning as there isn't much room. I am going to move the ABS backwards over the battery tray and remove the support struts for it to give a touch more room and also have a bit of a tidy up along the way.

Another question is the wire to the throttle body.... how to make it longer without splicing into it or is that the only way??? How has it been done before......

    Cheers guys

    Aaron

P.S. Intercooler problem fixed with regards to getting to the ANN manifold.:mischeif:

If you are using the 3B,ABY or ADU water manifold you will have to chop it about in order to get it to fit. Either that or you will need to use the AAN water manifold which is different.

Either option will involve a bit of work.

You will need to do make / modify a new bracket for it, or use the AAN bracket which moves the pump (I used this). There should be a few pics around on the forum showing what people have done..........always more than one way.

And away we go, Got the new intercooler this morning. Fair bit bigger than standard.
9" tall by 28" long by 3" deep. so you could say a fair bit bigger than stock

Have you decided how you are going to move and mount the PSP yet?

But am looking into get this!!!!

Taking the cover off that mounts to the block to leave a naked (WOOOOO) psp.
Then having an extension piece welded to the cover to allow rotation of the pump via 90deg there fore moving it all out of the way and allowing the original position. Then just sorting out the original hoses with a few bends in the end and hey presto bobs your uncle (Ihope) getting the water manifold done today so I will be able to tell more tomorow all being well.

                    So any thoughts on that???

Once you get the water manifold sorted and the IM bolted on you'll have a better idea of what needs to be done, post some pics!

Hopefully get that done by this avo. If the weather is not too cold and windy. God I hate not having a garage. Working on the drive is such a PITA that I am going to have to build one some day!!! But anyway. Will post pics of manifols and adjustments alike later on, Intercooler is still being welded in a fashion to the original xmember by my mate at blueprint. He has done the water manifold already ( I have it in my hands as we speak) so I will start getting stuff bolted up to work out the next bits to get Hopefully have all plumbed up by the end of this week. Just still umming and arring about a catch tank and where to fit. I am trying to get the whole lot in without moving the battery to the boot you see.......

Figuring that lip at the bottom can be bent flat so it is out of the way and then remove the mounts again and drill through the whole xmember, and fit the bolts that way giving another inch in height for the bumper..... Fingers crossed.......
