  • New project, b5 s4 2.7 bi-turbo yes or no??

Hi, I’m a new member looking for advice on an engine conversion for my b3 Audi Coupé Quattro (1989). I’ve been looking at using the 2.7 b5 s4 bi-turbo and have had mixed feedback on the engine when asking about.. I’m just here to gather some more information before I bite the bullet and 100% commit to the engine/project...

    any recommendations/opinions are welcome

    thanks

Hello and . I have seen it done, I believe it best to use a v6 coupe although I gather its a hard one to do. Lots off heart ache and hair pulling. If there is a way I guess you'll find it. Lots off Photo if you go for it We like lots of them please Best off Luck. Lynn

This is the problem I’ll face (squeezing it in)

Major problem is that the outlets for the bi-turbo set up exit amost exactly where the steering rack is on the b3 or b4.

I've seen that overcome by using a single turbo, but that sort of defeats tha object when a V8 could be squeezed in ?

As above single turbo is what most go with.

There is a cabriolet in London running a s4 engine bi turbo but fwd and aftermarket ecu.
Frostyflax used to have a single turbo s4 engined coupe quattro.
