    Engine choices B2 CQ

    HI all
I'm undecided over which engine to use in one of my b2 CQs.
I've already one with an ABY, so can't see the point of having another with the same engine (but hey, I've a spare engine)
I was leaning towards the 4.2 from an A8 until someone told me about a VR6 turbo he was fitting into his A4 S4.
So I've been looking at other possibilities
I don't need a mega power drag car but I want a car that will keep up with traffic
Car has 016 box which I'd like to keep, rest of running gear will be S2 coupe 5 stud etc
So, any BTDT regarding engine swaps would be useful. Yes, RS3 engine would be nice but I don't have the budget!

1.8T is probably the best way to go in terms of effect and value for money, but having anything except 5-cylinders in a typ85 Coupe Quattro is a blasphemy.

Yes I know it should have I5, but i already have an I5 cq.
Im not keen on I4 turbo with out having to tune one, when there are bolt in engines with more power
Ive spent an hour looking through an excellent resources I found online showing engine codes, CC, power outputs etc
I am adding some more details to my own version.

20v vr5 from a passat with a head spacer, arp studs and a turbo

I have a spare wiring loom modified to be plug and play from my b3...also a united motorsports tuned ecu for the 24v vr6 turbo if you wanted to use one of those?

        Jase.
