(Sorry, had to be done >>>> LINKY)
Thought it was about time I joined in with this "upgrading" phenomenon so I got down to work on my Coupe.
Here are the beginning pics of what I was up against:

First off was to fit some rare 22" Avus S8 rims, you know, the earlier dished ones.
Then I "upgraded" the suspension by lowering it 90mm with B&Q springs and kfoni shocks.
Sorted so far;

Next was to get a 9" exhaust made, This presented a problem as space is tight under the car. So I got shortlife exhausts to split the 9" tube up into nine seperate 1" tubes over the rear driveshaft. These then rejoined to exit from two 10" tailpipes. To save weight, the whole exhaust was made from carbon kevlar titanium cro-moly ceramic alloy.

Brakes next.
Thought I'd go the whole hog and wrap 3/4 of the entire disc in caliper, Bremboyd 32 pot calipers were used , held to the strut with 118 piece brackets. The disc is 500mm x 90mm. A later development could see the wheel done away with altogether, wrapping the whole disc with a 40 pot bremboyd and fitting the tyre to the outside of the caliper itself. Thus saving weight even further.

Next up were the engine mods. As I'm aiming for 6569856421 BHP, the rods would need doing. A secret contact within Nasa made me some ultra secret ceramic crystal glass rods. I don't have any pics, nor any specs, as he's spent millions of $$$'s out of his own pocket and won't give even a tiny bit of information away.
Turbo choice next. I needed to see a compressor map first, so I hunted the net.
One struck me straight away as being great;

That compressor map relates to the KKK/Holset/IHI/Mitsubishi/Garret hybrid triple ping pong ball bearing turbocharger. It's GT30983659875421 RR/KK/roller ball.
The warmside of the turbo is a #1569 and the chillyside is a #165325
Here is a picture of the warmside;

This is an ongoing project, so more as I do more. Next up a girdle for the sump, M&S do some great ones.

Pictures of it's fitting (not a chance) when I pluck up the courage to go and buy it.
[note, I'm only flippin joking]
Jas..
