    Anton's RS2Coupe project

    Here is my formal intro;

    Hey guys Anton here. It has taken me a while to start a project
    (been here since '04) thread but here it is. My approach has been upside down of most but it seemed to work out for me. I bought most of the parts I always wanted for the Coupe body style before I even owned it. When I had enough money saved up I did a Nationwide search for the best example black/black Coupe I could find. Turned out a neighbor 5 mins away had the right car. It took 3days, first day I saw it and loved it, second day I got an approved loan and on the third day I bought it I don't have many pics of the car and you've seen these before but it's all I've got at the moment.

    My plan is to gain 400hp reliably and efficiently. I want a very comfortable yet responsive road car. The Coupe will have many RS2 engine parts and interior parts to match. I'll be ready financially to begin the engine swap in Spring '08.

        my hat off to you mate. looks like you're doing it properly and with no expense spared. I only wish I was on the right continent and had the cash to buy some of the bits you'll be taking off. like the old interior. (signs). Afraid i'm stuck with ye olde cloth seats.

        Good luck with the project mate. I thought I had a lot of work ahead of me but nothing like the work you do. hehe

        cheers

                    Thanks Mike but I'm very particular I hammer myself to do it right the first time. The swap was scheduled but I postponed it to next year due to an upcoming Eurotrip (3 months backpacking)

                    You are the man Barry.. Without you my friend I would not have been able to attain the majority of parts I've had on my list. Look forward to receiving the heart of the beast

                        S2 Coupe MTM Clubsport Bumper

                        here is a nice update to report. I bought this a while ago and have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive. Mint MTM Clubsport bumper. This bumper is destined for an Abt C5 Coupe which I hope to buy next year and have shipped to the US.

                              Nice find. I'd be interested to see some pics from the back too for comparison with the standard S2 item. Can I ask where you sourced it (eBay.de) and how much it cost?

                              One of the underside would be good too to see the profile of the intercooler opening profile.

                              PS Wouldn't it be more cost effective for you to move to Europe rather than importing all this stuff?
