    hey
basically im looking for someone to help me restore my 1991 audi 80 sports edition back to its former glory!i bought her a little over a year ago (for a dam good price) and since then there has been no end of problems, the garages around here a useless and i cant afford to take it to an audi dealer to get sorted.the problems so far are as follows:-electric windows dont work, suspension creakes when steerin on full lock, half the dashbord lights and the voltmeter gauge light dont work, losing oil but i dont know where from, losing water(again i dont know where from),strange whistling noise coming from engine, whirring coming from back end even thou ive had the brakes and barings replaced, drivers seat bolsters are perishing and the original speedline alloys are in desperate need of a refurb.generally the engine is still good for its 160000 miles and she can still do 0-60 in 7 seconds ,it does have some small rust spots and the paint work has some hairline scratches around the door locks and some scuffs on the front and rear kamei bumpers.im in kent if anyone wants to help....thou any suggestions on how to put some of these problems right would be extremly useful, thou not to much tech talk please i dont know that much about cars i just love driving!

Dashboard lights if you mean fog lights etc the front's of the switches prise off very easily to reveal the bulbs, the guages down the bottom IIRC need the center console removing to get at, the dash (speedo bulbs) are easy just remove the screws under the steering column to take the trim off then there are 2x screws that hold the speedo console in that can be removed very easily.

Could be the top mounts need replacing.

half the dashbord lights and the voltmeter gauge light dont work, losing oil but i dont know where from,

Have compression test done to find out the condition of the bores.

losing water(again i dont know where from),

Mine failed at a core plug, took ages to spot.

strange whistling noise coming from engine,

Constant or changes with the revs, belts, cambelt tensioner?

whirring coming from back end even thou ive had the brakes and barings replaced,

Fuel pump on its way out?

drivers seat bolsters are perishing and the original speedline alloys are in desperate need of a refurb.generally the engine is still good for its 160000 miles and she can still do 0-60 in 7 seconds ,it does have some small rust spots and the paint work has some hairline scratches around the door locks and some scuffs on the front and rear kamei bumpers.im in kent if anyone wants to help....thou any suggestions on how to put some of these problems right would be extremly useful, thou not to much tech talk please i dont know that much about cars i just love driving!
