    aiming for 700hp

Hi. As some of you may know, i bought toms(audiman) s2 coupe about 3 months ago.
Since i have bought the car, i have been getting to grips with the power .
I have had gearbox problems recently, but hopefully thats sorted now.

These are a few things that im going to try and complete before next aprill.

    new turbo- gtk turbonetics
    new wheels-18inch comp's
    new brakes- 6pot brembo kit
full rollcage- painted black for stealth
new fuel setup- twin pumps, lines, regulators etc..
    new intercooler and hard pipeing
new radiator- not decided where to mount yet?
    new custom inlet mani
    lots of aeroquip
new coilovers- not decided on what company?

I'm also going to tidy up the engine bay, and the paint work.
I want to use the car mostly for track, but i will also be driving it to a few meets and on a early sunday morning

I'm looking for a s2 estate, to tow my s2, too and from track days.
I will upload some pics when we get started in a few weeks.
Most of the work will be carried out at my friends company, A1 RALLYSPORT. It is owned by Steve Scott, a well known rally and circuit driver( aswell as all the crazy creations hes developed)

Here is a little clip, just after i bought the beast.

All the custom alloy pipeing, inlet, radiator and intercooler are been designed by PRO-ALLOY. I have had a few high powered cars, but none as good looking as the s2.

I've heard the 5-cog 016 from the KW engined SPort quattro is the strongest stock box from the family tree, but for the monster torque from a GT42 I don't think it would last long... At these levels I think investment in a proper motorsport spec box would be justified. BIG money though, but with the contacts of the new owner I'd say its possible ;-)

On a totally different subject - I wouldn't waste an S2 Avant as the tow vehicle - get a 2.5TDi A6 quattro or allroad - more money but a much better towing donkey.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

From what I heard tom didn't change to a 6 speed and kept putting 5's in.

Yes, with modification the right 5 speed puts down 750hp

                          GR42R will work up to 850HP on 2.2L S2. I would go for Garrett GT4094R (GT40R/42R Hybrid).

It's a possability for a motorsport box. Just going to see how things plan out with the 2boxes i have.

I looked at the tdi estate and thought that the s2 estate would be more fun
I see an all-road at a auction last week, for 9.5k, but thought that was a bit pricey

Here's a pic of my engine bay from my 20vt mk3 golf, after it was tidied and modded by steve scott. Including the pro-alloy custom rad/intercooler setup.

                            [IMG][/IMG]

                            [IMG][/IMG]

Before the modifcations, it was a standard 20vt engine bay.

I'm hoping to do something very similar with s2.

                            cheers
