CQ 20v project (Lots of pictures)

Had nothing better to do, so I thought i'd write a few words about my car.

Bought 1 year ago, in a really poor condition.
    Looked something like this:
    Yep, love the rims
Anyways, you can see it looks shabby.

Used it for the winter without doing much, spring came and the time had come for a respray

    Well, not quite:

    Paint looked like this:
Could have killed the guy that made this terrible "repair".
    (mobile pics)

So, cant stop there or what?

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

Back from paintshop( two months ago):

    Bit of job left?

    Recent pictures: (mobile phone)

Jacked up car, to do some upgrades for the first time ever on ths car:

Also changed the engine and gear mounts.

Even more recent ones (week old). Still missing some trim and adjustments of both front and rear bumper.

    Plans:

-Find out where the water on the passenger side floor comes from.
    -Sort interior.
-5x112 conversion, followed by 996 (332mm) conversion (got all the parts).
    -Replace "bomb".

-Let this old girl have some glory in her old days. They just didn't treat her right

Wow thats nice results, I'm surprised at the bad repairs to the arch on it as i've not seen an audi thats needed anything like that but glad you stuck with it and the results look brilliant, like the treser rear lights. Was the s2 clocks standard?

Ooops, I let this thread die.
The car is still very much alive though. Here's some more pictures:

This is about the time where I lost my camera, and stopped taking pictures of the progress. Still some minor issues to take care of, and the car badly needs a few adjustments in the suspension dept.

Thanks to Flexx for never sending me the f***in parts and setting me back 4 months.

Treser lights on a pearl coupe... wow that looks good!

Where did you pick up the H&R suspension??? Highly unlikely that there is a US distributor...

                      It does, doesn't it?

Got the H&R's from a local dealer. It should be possible to find a distributor in the US though.
Just installed the JDM solid shortshift job today, and what a change!

Few more pics for the laughs.
Think I've noticed a F-up earlier in this thread. The diff mounts of the rear sub was mounted wrong, weren't they? Or were they wrong before?

I regret having painted the car before doing all this other work. It still looks pretty good though.
