It's been 2 years since i launched the car without a slipping clutch.

You can be quicker then this I think. Too much wheel spin in 1st gear. Car sounds great btw

Sounds really nasty but that car is a 10 second car for sure! you can improve that time alot with that start

How high do You have the rev limiter?

Sounds like You drop off boost on second, and surge when coming back on..

Agree with the ten sec post, though.

Rev limiter is set on 7200 rpm. Safe to set it higher ?
My Gear change to 2nd was not so smooth on that run. I generally find that 1st to 2nd gear change cannot be snapped quickly.
I also feel if i hooked 2nd properly, i'd been in the 10's.

1st->2nd gearshift can be helped a LOT with lighter clutch disc.

Not been reading the whole monster thread, but I assume You have sprung sinter disc from SRE? If yes, it is pretty heavy hunk of stuff...

7500 should be safe, if You have stiff valvesprings and the engine is properly balanced. I have set the rev limiter to 7600 in the strokers I have worked on.

I never had any problems with shifting with the same setup as faheemo.
Stiff enginemounts and stiff but a little smoother gearboxmounts was my ingredients for my supershifts

The tranny had gone 270000km so it's no problem with this setup IMO.

I have 034 solid engine mounts, and stock Rs2 gearbox mounts.
I took off the solid gearbox mounts as they are a little too harsh.

My car has 250 000 kms.

Must speak to my tuner to lift the limiter.

What engine management are you using? Motronics or aftermarket?

Motronic, with MAf on the pressure side.

I added the Bosch External Fuel pump to system this weekend.
(Mounted it above the the Fuel filter.) I kept the Walbro pump in the tank, so i now have a 2 pump system fitted ( in series ).
Took the car for a drive and she is over fueling alot.
I added some race fuel and cranked the boost up, the fueling problem seemed to lighten up a little but still rich.
Need to re map the car for the better Fuel supply now.

Lesson learnt - Walbro 255Ltr pump cannot keep up with the demands of a GT30 turbo on our cars.

why dont you just replace the walbro with a 044? you might not need to remap after that

I hate being right, the Walbro pumps aren't as good as the bosch ones

Anyway, Now i have 2 Fuel pumps, Walbro inside the tank and a Bosch unit above the fuel filter.
Car has to be remapped anyway as, we wher trying to make the car work wit the walbro that was dropping pressure. In the process, Maxing out the injectors to get more fuel in.
