really some headjob done!! and the valve= porn
if you use some bigger A/R at the hot side, the turbo will hang upp to more rpm.... 6500 aren.t high rpm

I'll try the 0.86 housing 1st, think about it later to go with the 1.06 turbine housing.
I'm worried about the 'points' on the exhaust valve faces? Think they're going to burn or give a hot spot, not good.
But please prove me wrong, what did your head builder say?
According to the head builder the valve design are found on the later model BMW engines including the E92 M3.
the nipple will create a hot spot but this allows for detonation to take place in the center of the valve instead of on the edge wher it seats.
locating the nipple in the center also lightens the valve and allows for better cooling - more surface area.
seems to make sense - but i'm no professor on this.

Hello. I wanna do the same step this winter. I rode in some other Forum that it is necessary to lift up one engineholder (is it the right word ,hope you know what i mean...) because otherwise the GT30 won´t fit.
Is that true? Do you have a pic from your finished engine!?

Only if your engine mounts are worn. If you install new engine mounts it will fit fine
Regarding the heavy duty valve springs: in case you are going with the hydro lifters and will stay under 8K, it does not make sense to replace the stock springs. One should always pick the softest spring that does not float at redline. The reason is that stiffer valve springs increase valvetrain friction, and sap power at all rpms, in addition to increased wear on the camshafts. Your valves have been lightened, so that reduces the need for stiffer springs as well. The lighter the valvetrain, the less reciprocating mass for the valve springs to control, thus enabling the use of softer valve springs.
Are you using the "new" lightweight hydro lifters? They save some 20+ grams over the old type (and that is much more of a weight saving than TI retainers provides, and at a lower cost)
WGFV: know this has been discussed to death, but on my setup the N75 was utterly unreliable. Would often overboost to almost 2.5 BAR... Running the Turbotech controller from Australia now, with excellent results. Boost comes on super quick, and stays rock solid. Tried a bleed valve too, what a waste, major lag (with graphs to prove it..)

My Engine is about 90.000km,maybe it´s still in good conditions!
Is it possible to handle the whole problem with a different exhaust manifold?
I mean, with the Rs2 one the Turbo is much closer and lower on the engine as with an single-pipe manifold for example.
it shuld be 92,8 i think: they are in 2,5 liters 10v microbusses lie the pics( rare car , then they are from 95-2001 for south africa) but the crank are inn front engine cars too; like the PETROL 10v engine 2,5liters( in norway , in ambulances)..... and use the 92,8 crank and dieselblocks and really long conrods( 158-165mm ) you may turn it too a stroker, AND high rpm tooo..... RACE IT!
The 2.5 10v petrol (AAF) is 81x95,5. I've got such a block&crank in my stroker. Never seen any other 2.5 combo in Norway
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these will work on the I5.
Running these on my 8v Golf engine. Along with lightweight valves, the setup is good for 8K on stock springs. Got them for $ 7 or so from a source in Canada. I belive these were stock on the 95 and newer VAG 4 cyl and VR6 engines.
1995 RS2 on Alcohol (6.8sec 100-200km/h)
1994 80E Avant
1986 2L Golf 2 on Alcohol
i think you get the 82,5 x 92,8 verson too....i dont know the enginekode yet... for the other 2,5 10v petrol
the 2,4 diesel have ALSO 95,5 crank, but NOT the same PN like the 2,5tdi ones
the 2,5 petrol 10v have the same P/N as 2,4 diesel( ONLY IL5 !!)
