    Breitlings lange Sportquattro

Thought i could make a thread about my "new" project.
The car is a 83 urquattro and the plan was to have it original, or at least close to original. But the car was in a much bader shape then i thought and FULL of rust, so now its going to be a pure trackcar with rollcage and all.. will see how this develops.....
    More pictures will come.

Isn't it better to restore such a beast to original condition - you would need to treat the rust regardless of the application. I hope you don't take to another UR with an angle grinder to make it some kind of sportquattro lookalike (which it won't unless you use the front from an 80 Saloon).

An LWB quattro always looks better than the shorty IMO. Shorty conversions are a bit boring now - thats not to say they are easy or put anyone done who has completed one - I just don't see the point really.

It would be too expensive to put it back to original.
Sorry to dissapoint you..The 4 corners on the car was nothing to keep.

It looks fairly crusty alright but I've seen worse... Just glad you aren't going to shorten it.

Looks like a good project and once sorted should be nice.

                              One question, 10v or 20v
