Little update! After alot off time.... i had no time for my car......
I took the engine block from the machine shop and i have finished the head.
Some pictures with the block and head ports.
I need time now for cleaning...offff..

The distance between the side lamp and the fender?

I have prepared the operation table...
only the block is missing and the AAN ABY cam cover still mising... i couldint find 1 in Romania.

Is from Aelred. Is for an turbo with internal wastegate, like mine. Has no flange for the wastegate.

where did you find that lehmann EM? what is it made of? is it that exotic inconel or something else?

Today the block will be finished.... i have installed yesterday the torque plate and today will be ready.
Alot off cleaning is waiting ahead.

A little update.
I have received some very nice parts from Aelred. Great Service from him!

New oil pump, head gasket set, racing bearings, arp bolts for head and caps, piston rings, valves, guides and not the last... lightened and balanced crank, flywheel and front pulley + an very nice Lehmann exhaust manifold.

torque plate

I am sorry iff is a post wich answer this question.. but i couldint find.
I have to use the torque plate with a head gasket between the block and plate, or not? Iff yes, is important the type off the gasket?

The plan with the car is to dismantle everithing, sandblast the body, then fit the body kit with all the suports necessary, then install everithing back. i neded 30 sec to write this message and will take aprox 1 year to complete the task.
Off, sooo much work to do and 0 time!

I did think it was the horn but wondered why it was up there and even if the bonnet would shut thats why I was curious as to what it was.

Cars coming along well, bet it shifts with the engine in there
