Well after much hunting on the net and the photo's supplied on the last post. I have made the decision to start and weld the seat box back into position. I have measured so many times I am getting dizzy, so have just decided to bite the bullet and begin.

This is where I am rewelding the seat box in. Once cleaned up and painted it will look similar to what the stock one would look like.

One side is welded here and one side is just placed in position to get an idea.

A shot of where I have fitted the seat in and moved it to it's fully back position

The join to the B Pillar

Once all the welding has been finished and I have fitted the full roll cage. I have been looking at the following company.

it looks like a massive time saver. It is expensive around £1400 for the full treatment. But I have been told the job they do is amazing.

It's a sure fire way of getting the insides of the cills coated and protected and it will show up any bits I have missed and need to get sorted before assembly.

The set date is 1st September 2008 I have allowed myself exactly 6 months from the date I received both donors in the garage. but the way things are going It looks like I may be able to get it finished earlier.

The next one I do I will do so many things different already... 2 of my friends have already started collecting donor vehicles to produce 2 more.

I will also have a better understanding of the order in which I have to order parts so that they land in sequence so I have constantly got something to work on instead of twiddling my thumbs.

Yeah think that the sport rear seats was a waste of time, but I do like the recaro front seats they get

Update just finished another stint on the asq...

Today I have almost finished fitting the tunnel out of the acq into the asq. I was going to use the S2 tunnel so that it would fit a 6 speed at a later stage but they are the same dimensions with exception of the bulge in the floor for the cats and the selector turret. So I am just using the coupe one and modifying it.

Almost finished the rear seat box so I had a play tonight test fitting the seats...

I have removed nearly 11Kg of sound proofing from the floor pans.
