      here is a link
I have measured 60 degs at the surface of an open (but shielded) cone filter on a day with 14degs ambient, going 50km/h+ That translates into a massive power loss.
The turbo/manifold area of the I5 gets way hot. The designers even put heat shields on the sealed airbox..

i allways measuring intake temperature. geting hot on heavy traffic. the air has no time to geting hot. did you mesured how much air needs the i5 engine in one sec on 6000rpm?
did you measured how much air changing at 90km/h under the hood? i think lot.
i learning this, long time ago.

The IAT's will naturally rise even more at low speeds in heavy traffic. However, the hot components will continually heat the surrounding air, and an exposed filter will suck it in. If this was not the case, you would measure ambient temp (outside temperature) at the filter surface. Temp at the surface of the filter represents the temperature of the air before the intercooler.

I like the look of them brakes, how easy is it to make the brackets/make fit? is there any hard to do custom parts?

And any idea what size rims are needed to clear them?
