    Matt's S2 -> RS2 project.

Ok, so this project really started back in Jan. of last year when I started buying the bits for the conversion.
I took me over a year to get it all together, buying bits when I could afford them.

Added to the parts you see in the picture, I have also had fitted a new lambda sensor, both knock sensors,an 044 fuel pump and an 034 sports cat. Don't want to get caught out with roadside emissions checks

All these parts and the car were left in the capable and safe hands of the wizzard. a.k.a Jase at the Lion Garage in Hinckley.

A few weeks, and a very reasonable bill later, I now have one fairly rapid motor. Second gear has to be my favourite ( &3,4,5&6 ). It just punches you hard into the back of the seat.

Top marks to Jase as he had to battle hard to get the 034 downpipe to fit, 2 days on the ramps just for this. His words were......" well made but fits **** "
I also have to thank Ben (S2Avant) for his guidance and help with this project.

    A picture of his handywork.

The next stage will be to fit an RS2 intercololer (when Ben has finished with it) and also a remap to squeeze the best out of the turbo.

Good news on the cat too, car easilly passed emissions test during the MOT.

Nice work Matt, RS2 spec is what most on here either crave or wish they'd stuck at and a remap makes it just so Not tempted by a Bo style big IC then? 350+bhp will be rather tasty!

Hope to see you & the car soon, especially on track at ADI or something.

I've already paid for Ben's I/C and don't fancy hacking up the bumper TBH.

Looking forward to Coombe, I might be able to keep up with you and Hpmuirt now.

What Muirt does with a 'standard' car is pretty impressive. I'm looking forward to Combe this year and a couple of S2 sessions as per last time, it was good fun. hope 4WD, Bo, S2Driver, Madwolf and a few others can plump up track numbers

Matt, I hope to be near RS2 power with mine by the time I get there. 310 on a k24... surely not Oh, and 330+ftlbs! OH, and very little lag :mischeif: !

I think it's the "non-standard" driver that's the difference there

Be good to see this and Ben's playing RS2 spec Avant races

CC is 4 fast straights with a few right hand corners and 2 chichanes. Worth a play but there are better tracks in the UK. Donington is my favourite so far but I've not been to that many.

thruxton is a great circuit and so it oulton park. Love to go round Donny myself and yep, will be lapping at ADI all being well again this year. Only managed one session last year as I was on the rollers and then we were trying to sort my MArkH mod out

Full GP lap of Brands would be worth paying for I think.....S2 traction would be well used there up the hill and through Dingle Dell etc...

Getting back on topic *cough* Matt it's great to know it passed with the 034 sports cat. I bought one a couple of months ago to be fitted to my car when I buy a new exhaust system.

I didn't know Jase did exhausts??

Glad you got round to fitting those parts Matt i did wonder if you had maybe done it in secret with out telling us as it had been so long since you bought them.

Will it be remapped in time for GTI?
