No problem, I think they are better than expected in the wet I talked with a guy from holland that smashed the front of his S2 up at Hohe Acht in the rain sunday morning

BTW I managed to run 8.30 btg on monday with yellow flag and some slow bikers in the way Learning new corners and going faster everytime I am there Cant wait to get down again...

8:30 is a bloody good time so it really must be coming together nicely I reckon the S2 and other heavier cars will get more out of the R888's than others because the risk of aquaplaning should be significantly reduced.

How slippery was it in the rain and where are the worst sections?

The bottom of Hatznebach and beginning of Hocheichen are supposed to be bad, as is the right hander at Bruenchen. I've been following an Afla GTA through Bruenchen and he span, got it on video somewhere. I was in a very twichy Alfa 75

8m30 sounds really good, need a car that's both fast and handles well so good work

I am very satisfied with 8.30, but comparing some split times showing that 8.10 is possible. It is just difficult with traffic. (As always on the Ring)

How ever I need to work more on suspension, tires, downforce to get even more corner speed. There is no problem with power. I am thinking on trying the Yokohama 048 tires next year, I have heard they have significant better grip that the Toyos. Just a shame they are so damn expensive... Alternative change to a wider 245 or 255 on 9" wide rims if I can get them to fit...

Yeah, non road legal slicks on the 'ring might be an issue...

My bullet cam got all "fogged up" during the rain on sunday and I had some problems with bad connection in the signal cable But one lap was filmed inside with an hand held camera by a friend. I will try to post it as soon as he can import it from the camera That video shows a dramatic moment in the end of Flugplatz when I catch up a biker that looks in mirror but still decides to turn in Result is me hitting the end of the curbs in 220-230km/t...

bloody bikers, they should have sessions but I suppose that's impossible. They're all a manace, fast, slow, all try and cause you issues!

Is your cage bolted in rather than welded to the chassis?
