Oooops, you just have to respect the "Green Hell" and drive with margins... 4 closings on saturday and ambulance on the track twice...
Yeah, always have to drive home... the guy driving had to avoid a slow bike got a little wiggle on and preceded directly to the scene of the accident with the Armco, that was the result.

I've not been for nearly 2 years and am losing my nerve with going back driving, too much risk at the mo. Hope to do a track day there instead. £££s but worth it for clear laps and no bikes.

what is your alignment when you are @ Ring with the s2?
He he, the Ring is not that far away

      Alignment = hjulvinklar??

Front: -3.3 deg camber, neutral toe out/in
Rear: -2.0 deg camber, slightly toe in to retain stability at high speeds

Caster angle is what it is and too small (No adjustment...) The car is also too low and control arm angles/ roll centers are a little off... But as the header says of this thread: Continously upgrading. Maybe I get enough time to tweak the chassi angles and aerodynamics a little next winter

Offset front subframe bushes will give you another 1 degree or so of castor. I was looking into these but the order from 034 hasn't materialised yet.

Jesus titty f*cking 8.24 in a 325... has your friend had his fear gland removed? Thats impressive

That's a lot of camber on the front wheels, whats your braking like? How does it handle in the wet?

It is realy fast and must have been a nearly perfect lap.

Yes maybe it is a little much camber in the front, especially for the Ring. However the braking is no problem expect from the fact that I still have too much rear brakes. It is no problem to keep it in a straight line.

Here comes a couple of videos with my friend behind the wheel in the e30 this weekend:

I'm getting a Z3 rack fitted to my 318is, gives it a 3 turn lock to lock rather than 4+, also a Z3 short shift and a shorter 4.1 LSD to replace the 3.9

Good solution with the Z3 steering rack, have heard others also using it
Short shift with POM bushings already mounted I hope we also can find a cheap LSD diff... Right now it is a little unpredictable with the open rear diff, sometimes the rear end comes out and sometimes not

But lets not get into details regarding the bimmer, I might get blacklisted here

If you're interested in the 3.9 LSD off a sport then let me know, worth the £

I'll keep that in mind. I am not sure what ratio we currently have but we would like to keep ratio as is. Fits the Ring very well

it's rather amazing how much that handbrake setup reminds me of the stock clutch master cylinder.
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

It is a standard wilwood brake/clutch master cylinder

When I bought the setup I got the choise of a couple of different piston sizes, depending on the rear caliper piston size.

3.9 is off a 325i sport, I think that it's the gearbox that is different on the sport (closer ratios) so the stock open diff in a 325i should be 3.9. It's the larger case diff too so can handle more power if you go 24V/S50 etc. (the 4.1 I am getting is smaller case, correct for 318is and same as OE gearing). A friend will be selling the 3.9.

                              Great photos from Rudskogen.

Sorry to assist in the E30 hijack, but my E30 friend uses a lot of Z4 parts IIRC, including the rear diff. I do know his car was only geared for 209 km/t. Hopeless on the Autobahn, although funny for the rest of the Nürburgring 2008 group, but perfect for the Nordschleife. He was only just clipping the rev limiter in top gear over the crest at Swedenkreuz before braking.

Sweet! I'm getting a 4.1 and looking to swap 55 profile tyres for 50s to get a total of approx. 10% reduction over my current setup, should help the little screamer work a bit better. S2 is hitting 140, I think I saw Magarv hit 250kph+ @ Swedenkreuz too
