    7A more BHP?

I've just bought an 1989 coupe quattro with the 7A engine. Great car and i'm realy pleased to own it. It is a little under powerd though, Are there many options avalible for getting more BHP.
    Thanks

free flowing intake with decent cold air feed & heatshield
early tubular manifold (you already have it i guess)
    decat and free flowing exhaust
    034 injectors
    AAH AFM
    remap

    should see about 200bhp.
then you could use more aggressive cams and throttle bodies but realistically a 20vt conversion makes more sense than all of the above IMO
    Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
    Indigo ABY coupé
    Imola B6 S4 Avant

      .

If its your 'other' car, strip it out and lose as much weight as poss. then upgrade the sus. and brakes.

I think there's a guy in the US making 280 with increased compression ratio and revs, amongst other stuff.

Off course you could do a turbo conversion, but where's the originality in that?

            Jesh...

Forget the tailgate...get yourself a cheap 'ramjet'...weld it in the boot...securely...and fit the 'go' button as the horn...

            And buy life insurance...
