awesome project. Looks an absolute weapon. Great work with the dash too. Always wondered what the series 3/4 dash would look like in a ur. My ideal combination

look forward to hearing how you get on, btw what spec compomotive wheels do you have on your car?
Really would have liked to have seen this when I came up, shame I was in a rush and it was chucking it down.

Out of interest why did you go eboost2 instead of VEMS boost control?

i dont like the n75 control, niether do i like mechanical boost,
i didnt want to write boost maps for the vems ...
as the car is driven in different situations its easyier to adjust boost from the controler instead of flashing different settings to the ecu every time you want different power.
the eboost2 is easy to use and has the dual port method which elimenates wastegate creep etc,it also incorperates overboost shut off..

i have only had it fitted a couple of days ,so still playing really, also dont want to over do it as i was running stock ecu and not the vems....
1st go we set it up with high boost, the mechanical boost gauge shot past 25 psi ,so we backed it off a little to run 1 bar for now...will do more tests with the vems

You don't need to use N75 with the VEMS use a turbosmart / Perrins valve which are also dual port, Eboost is good but so expensive when the facility is in the ECU you've bought in comparison in saying that i've decided to use my Blitz I-color SBC purely because it's there.

Good luck can't wait to see this car at a meet soon.

nice one andy, but we still have another 150-200 horses to extract yet,
was the spin in the ur the deciding factor for the upgrade you just bought??

                        <need more excuses>

its gotta be said not many of the top hp cars use ecu based boost control.

been out for the last 2 nights tuning..have made some real progress with the ve tables...
done all the low end stuff, now i need to do more work on the high revs and boost, boost is set low to start(1 bar)
idealy i need a rolling road sesion, (it gets a bit scarey when tuning the high revs)
especiaaly as my mate is driving and i am mapping

eboost is very simple to use,set overboost, alter set points and gate pressure...pretty simple stuff....
i have also ditched the front seats,in favour of some very tasty r32 items in leather(pics to follow),this is one of the best mods so far...

                                good news there Martyn

dont worry about high revs and boost. just set the boost one scale at a time and go from rich to leaning out the mixture as it comes down. I watched the EGTs on the same time and tried to go by using both numbers.

remember that you are tuning for a set spark angle. if you decide to increase that, EGTs will drop to a point, and then start to rise again(meaning that you have advanced too much)
