    80quattro Stroker project (1984) ........

Well time to let you guys in on the secret, when i bought the new gearbox, for the s2. I found the guy, had an 80quattro standing in the yard, only 149 000km on the meter
So i got the tranny and the car for 25 000,- isk. he he thats 164GP
Verry little rust, and the interior is going out anyhows, so in with two bucket seats. 2.5 ltr stoker ported head, 7a ex.cam and wagner ex.manifold, Furans Im, balanced, blueprinted. Think i will go for aluflywheel. Will start off with Motronic and generic 600hp program.

Started stripping down, some off the interior, and threw away the back seat and some more **** from the car.

so what you guys think of this??? Here are some pics also...

Nice find, as mentioned update the headlights and i'd go for the sleeper look so would leave it there tbh, only other thing would be nice is the lower spoiler that sits under the front bumper, I have this on my coupe gt5s and it suits it well.

Dunno what you'd do with the front indicators? mod in some sidelight bulbs in the headlights?

To find a bumper with the indicators/indicator covers in that style is a pain, i've just found one so bought the indicators/covers for mine as now NLA from audi.

I'll try get some pictures of the front of my type 85 coupe gt5s and show you the front end as i've just got it out of storage, spent yesterday fitting a new interior into it.

Sleeper - is just stock looking everything outside where possible and mental power inside.

                  it will

deffo be sleeper being nothing but original outside, maybe some alurims, and 2,5ltr stroker, running ca 600+bhp. should be enough... for low 11xx me thinks...

Just curious to how and where i will put the big intercooler, and i think i should put the rad in the back, more hood space...

have a look at 90 quattro (I think thats his sign in) thread thats just popped up and where he's located his.

Only thing I think you might need to do is bigger wheels/lowered because of brake fitments and stronger springs at the rear so the rear don't squat down too bad.

Either if your only using it on the strip and trailoring it everywhere you "might" get away with 20v/s2 g60 girling brakes, or you could find out what jogi fitted to his type 85 as thats still 4 stud afaik?

Do you still have the standard brakes from your s2 if you upgraded them as thats a good cheap source.

Otherwise try pm spink he has a few sets normally (god know's i've sold him enough)

if you want 11xx, dont start to buil it. it can be 1050kg. if you build a nice stroker,it has to go low 10. i had 11.00 with my s2 1450kg and if i put some drag tires and race fuel, its easy 10.7
