Looking good, looks like it should be quite low and mean once done, one thing that would help I think is opening out the front vent for the intercooler ala terrybullwon style to let more air in for a monster cooler

        So build an splitter today,

i could make one in CF or something, but imagine how that would look after the first Curb

wood is an cheap, strong and pretty good weight to do this in

so, first, some drawing and cutting:

        Looks pretty good..

        Mean as hell!

Ignore the rope, no front mounting points yet ( will be in the frame-rails)

        Rear mounting points

thats it for today, hope to get the front mounts sorted tomorrow

So. alot of people have been bitchning me aboyt my wood splitter

                            So why not describe it

Yes, an Carbon splitter would be lighter etc.

But it cant stand the force, an real splitter you should be able to stand on IMHO, since youre getting atleast 80kg downforce in 150+ ( yes ofcourse depending on car and design, but approx)

                            Wood:

                            + Cheap
                            + resistant
+ easy to make/ easy to redo

                            - heavy

                            Carbon/ GF

                            + lightweight
                            + Good looks

                            - Cant stand an hit from a curb, will be in 10000 pieces
                            - expensive, expecially when you need to change 3 in a track-day

Also, as you see, the splitter is going all the way undet the oilpan= engine sump guard, a mate jumped straight on a curb with his E30 and smashed right under the splitter (wood), what happened? nothing, a few scratches..
An CF would have broke and probably broke the oilpan = new engine and clean the track of oil

                            So, there you go

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

I still say it looks like an A-Team job, but I can't argue with your logic

                              I'm just cheeeky hehe
